If I could, I would surround myself with books.
I can’t imagine not having them in my home.
I realize the idea of having space dedicated to books is a bit of a luxury and perhaps slightly outdated?… but I find them romantic, relaxing and a balm for the speed at which life moves now.
There is something grounding about having a book in your hands.
I love my ipad and read on it often, but there is something clinical about it that I find off putting… somehow just… less.

Drool with envy and perhaps get some inspiration!
This one looks so inviting.
The colour of the millwork restful and slightly moody… a perfect combination for optimum coziness!
I think this one is brilliant…
Eclectic, collected and full of style!

I think lazy afternoons in this space would be time well spent.
Although I believe this table is more for research than dining, having a library space that doubles as a dining room is a great option for those of us that can’t designate a space just for reading.
I can picture some wonderful dinner parties in this room.
A round table layered with stunning quilt, stacks of books , flowers and art pieces is a focal point in this grand library space.
Always a fan of thinking outside the box, I find this hidden library wall charming and unexpected…
This library nook has to be one of my favorites. Clever, and comfy…
A perfect space to hide away and get lost in the pages… and best of all, a very attainable idea for any home.

My home has books in cabinets, books on tables, books stacked on books and books as art.
They are filled with places to be traveled, history to be remembered, ideas to be contemplated, beauty to be appreciated, lessons to be learned,… all within the comforts of one’s own home…
That is true luxury!
