I woke up this morning at 4am.
I sat bolt upright and my mind was on ten things I needed to do before my feet hit the floor.
It is now 6am and I have been at the computer sourcing product, paying bills, answering e-mails and racking my brain for the missing links I know I have forgotten in my never-ending list of “things to check off my list”
That’s when it hit me…
I had not written a blog post since October 22nd.
There may have been a groan at that point… It was quiet so as not to disturb Kent.
How could I have just forgotten to write or even think about writing a post?
Well, I will tell you why…
I can’t do it all.
My mind and time have been mostly taken up with our exciting redesign project for The Little Inn of Bayfield.
The first guest room reno will begin very soon and all the planning for the major renovations starting in January have been shaping up nicely!
I am also decorating the Inn this week for Christmas in Bayfield which is a wonderful annual event here in town. It is this coming weekend so I need to get my holiday on!!
We found a fantastic antique cutter with beautiful detailed ironwork. It will look perfect sitting outside the Inn!
So, can any of you relate to feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things on your list?
I think my blog posts may be a bit further apart for awhile… I hope you understand.
You can always follow along with my Instagram feed if you are missing me ( I miss you too BTW). I post what I am up to over there… in fact all these photos are from my instagram feed this past week.
I am also trying to get through my list of projects here at BannockBurn… Everything is so exciting and we want to do it all at once… but, of course, we can’t!
The first little project I am tackling is painting out these sage green foyer tiles…
I know it is a temporary fix at best but I do like how it looks!
Much more crisp and traditional.
Ok, I am officially letting myself off the hook now.
I am going to make some coffee… jump in the shower and get ready to start decorating over at the Inn!
Hope to see you at Christmas in Bayfield this weekend!!
