I have been inspired by some beautiful blog posts of gardens recently, and although my gardens are far from perfect, they have a certain charm and I thought I would share some photos.
We call our garden Weberville,
it is our place to just “be”
Slightly untamed perennial gardens seem to be what we are drawn to.
This patio has a rounded horseshoe shape that wraps around the house.
There are several sitting areas off of the familyroom and the master bedroom.
We used grey cobblestones that fit together in random patterns, it gives a very freeform effect.
That is Coco, she has been a big part of our family for 14 years.
I went with red and blue for window boxes and planters this year.
I think it looks pretty with the white of the house.
Emmitt loves the garden, he digs around for awhile then lays down to bask in the sun.
We have a cute little white bunkie down the hill in the flats, it is a perfect place for children to play, with bunkbeds and a sitting area.
The property is surrounded by a variety of big trees, some over 70ft. tall. It gives a very private and protected feeling to the space.

This weathervane found it’s way to us a few years back, it was at a country auction… it needed a new home.
I like to look up at the house from down in the trees.
Lady’s Mantle seems to make it’s way into many of my flower arrangements, the leaf shape is so very lovely.
Blue hosta are just getting ready to bloom, I often use a few large leaves with a handful of spikes of tall flowers as a simple but effective table centre.
There is something very special about sitting and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, taking note of the changes in the gardens as they flourish throughout the season.
The air is fragrant, the birds chat away… I love it!
