Canadian artist Peter Etril Snyder has had a long and successful career. Perhaps best known for his depiction of Mennonite life he also has an extensive body of work reflecting his wide-ranging travels and interests. While these pieces cover an array of subject matter one thing connects them … his love and appreciation of the beauty around him in all its forms.
Many of you may know that Peter is my uncle. I have learned so much from him. He sparked my interest in the arts from a very young age and my chosen career in design can be directly linked back to his influence.
Art & design have always married well and I am very excited to share that Pete and I have been collaborating on several levels to expand his art business and enhance my custom interiors studio.
After a long and creative design process I launched the new website snydergallery.com. This completely updated website showcases his entire catalogue of paintings both available for sale and archived, his travel articles, personal musings on creative aspects he explored during his career as well as a truly wonderful online photo album where you can scroll through his body of work. It is a lovely website and I encourage you to explore it at your leisure. Information about art licensing is also available and will be expanded in the future.
Earlier this year Pete transferred ownership of the copyright to his complete catalogue of images to me. I look forward to this new and exciting chapter developing licensing possibilities for his art. Pete has been mentoring me in the field, sharing his knowledge and ideas for expansion and I can’t wait to share the journey with you.
One of the exciting paths this expansion in licensing is taking is into the fabric market. We now have the ability to beautifully print images onto fabric for a variety of applications such as decorative pillows, custom upholstered pieces and stunning silk scarves. Many of these projects are completely custom as I develop unique pieces for my design clients. For those of you interested in incorporating some of these decorative pieces into your own home there are several options. My line of pillows is available through the online shop, There are four murals that can be ordered printed on fabric for upholstery projects or you can email me to discuss custom work.
Working with Pete is an honour and a blessing. I have so much to learn from his experience and insight. I look forward to developing his extensive catalogue into new and innovative markets.

Update Sept/2017… It is with a heavy heart that I update this page to reflect the passing of my Uncle Pete. His work will live on for generations. His confidence in my ability to continue promoting his work in both traditional and innovative ways by taking over the copyright to his extensive body of work fills my heart with love and gratitude. I will do my absolute best to continue on as he wished.
