Description
The Artist notes about this beautiful painting:
“This is the last of a group of Mountie paintings that I did following my commission for the R.C.M.P. I was surprised in 1989 in Ireland at the Royal Dublin Show to find a troop of young equestrians imitating this move of concentric circles perfected by our Mounties. This painting is all the more timely, because of the announcement that the Musical Ride may be discontinued. I certainly hope not. I think that the ceremonial duties of this equestrian unit, in their red serge, give the taxpayer much better value than most of the normal government carry-on.”
