Change always brings a mixture of excitement and slight unease…
Anticipation for the future and a recognition of all that you are leaving behind.
At least that is what it feels like to me.
With the move from Hoop Top House fast approaching, Kent and I have been packing and moving for what seems like weeks…
Trying to condense and purge enough of our belongings to move from aprox. 5000 sq. ft. to a tiny cottage with a storage unit for the excess.
Needless to say, it has been a challenge.
Even with what I learned about packing a storage locker… I have still struggled to find a place for everything and we do feel a bit like we are living in a fish bowl… with our noses pressed up against the sides of the bowl looking out into the big world beyond.
But… moving isn’t the only thing going on…
Professionally, gearing up for the Little Inn re-design project has been a big focus…
It is going to be a fantastic project filled with creative challenges. It will go in stages and the first phase will start late fall and stretch over the winter…
I can’t wait to get started!
That said, anyone that knows us will not be surprised to find out that we are actively on the hunt for a new personal project to sink our teeth into as well!!
We want a place to live, love and learn from… a place that feels like home from the moment you step in the door…
A place that has sunrise vistas as pretty as the one out the front door of Hoop Top House!
I know it is a lot to ask…
Places like that aren’t just around every corner…
They are special and therefore…
Worth the wait!!
But…
We may have found it!!!!!!
I can’t share just yet…
You will have to wait a tiny bit longer.
I promise I will tell you all about it as soon as I can!!
In the interim, Kent and I are going to take a little bloggy break to concentrate on bringing this all together.
Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for us!!
We will be back in a week or two hopefully with a fantastic announcement!!
All the photos in this post are from my Instagram feed including this one I snapped a few days ago of all three orchids in full bloom in the kitchen window… They have been on different cycles and never bloomed together before. I thought it was a perfect way to say goodbye to Hoop Top House to see them in full glory together.
